provides opportunities for students to express themselves and to receive positive recognition for their artistic efforts.

Countywide Reflections Contest Winner!  The PTA is overjoyed to congratulate 7th grader, Adrianna Hwang for taking 1st place in the Countywide Reflections Contest.  We are so incredibly proud!  We wish her the bet of luck in the State-level competition, have every confidence she will do quite well, and look forward to receiving those results mid-March.  Everyone at Mount View celebrates Adrianna's success and this incredible accomplishment! Thank you for sharing your gift with our school and community.

 These students will be rewarded with a $50 gift card to The Mall in Columbia.

Congratulations and thank you, once again, to all who participated in this year's program.  The MVMS PTA would also like recognize and extend our gratitude to our own Mr. Michael Mitchell for his support and assistance with regard to submission collection and Ms. Cheryl Teter from West Friendship Elementary who judged the Visual Arts division.

We look forward to next year when we explore the theme, "Heroes Among Us" ...

DEADLINE for all submissions: Friday, November 3rd

The PTA Reflections Program welcomes students of all grades and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts.  Students are encouraged to reflect on this year’s theme and create original works of art in the categories of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts.

Please turn in all entries to Mr. Mitchell's Art Room by Friday, November 3rd.  Submissions will be reviewed by experts in the visual, literary and performing arts.  Judges look for personal interpretations on the program theme that best exemplify creativity and technical skill.  Winning entries from our school will be submitted to Howard County PTA, with the chance to continue on to the state and national levels.
